Character Names
So today I was thinking about starting a new character, and got thinking about all my current characters names.
Then I started wondering.. I get my character names from books I've read.
Where do you get yours?

Random word generator.
For you, the name would have been,
"Compelling Bust"
I do recommend against this option, though. It tends to lead to dissatisfaction...
For some characters, I pick what's in my immediate environment (i.e. Box of Tissues, Sloppy Pancake Goo, etc.). Some might say I lack creativity. :\

As a kid I always named my stuff Chocobo ______ eg Chocobo Knight or something equally lame. I regret it now, but since many people know me as Choco it's kinda hard to change.
Lately I use a lot of mythological and classical stuff that I learn about in my classical studies. Yeah it's pretty common but it's pretty cool reading the Odyssey or the Aeneid and then logging on and seeing your characters named similar to the epic heroes you see in books you read :P.

I just think of a nice girls name, then snob it up and give it a last name. Just think of words/names you know and snob them up. Like the word Dijk becomes Deijck or something.
Though my mains name, lucy gwyneth, is name of an actress. Gwyneth is her first name, Lucy the name of the role she played. Only found out that later lol, when I was googling it xD Just like the name Lucy

Faure combined with a character in history/legends that is related to my class.
Example my sin: Marcus Brutus Faure (Marcus Junius Brutus was one of the guys that assassinated Caesar)
My ranger: Arthemis Faure (misspelled, but derived from Artemis, greek goddes of forests and hills and the hunt)

Latin names, usually.
By the way, here's an awesome Latin name (may be grammatically and politically incorrect), if anyone wants a quick name for their character: Combibo Meus Gallo.

My own imagination. As an old DM of D&D i'm used to create my own names.
So here they are:
Zaphir Dahmouflon , Aravinda Parimala, Govinda Anish, Nirwadas Tesshk, Aqtanai Zirc Zeun (Zirc is the name of my first D&D character, Zeun means 'son of'), Olga Lawina (ok, that one is after a Comic character), Jahomifus Rghleeng, and Een Rare Naam (wich is Dutch and translates to 'A Weird Name' in English. The character was made and named as such, after remarks of my fellow Guild members regarding my fondness of weird and sometimes hard to pronounce names...;-) )
Grz, Zirc.

On my primary account, my character names were based on the Exalted RPG. Winter Chorus, Moon Chime, etc., with the second word being the personal name.
On my second account, I'm shooting for Irish (and in one case Welsh) first names with a common, and horribly generic fantasy, surname, because I've been reading too much pseudo-Celtic fantasy lately.

Topical (eg: Elusive Was Gwtwo or High Were Gasprices), personality-trait based (Useless Was Kormir), but for my main they all just come back to Hax or Haxor (Haxor Mastermind, The Monk With Hax, Elemental Haxor, Haxors Ranger etc).
Basically whatever pops up in my mind.

GW skills mainly Lighting Surge, Bloodsong becomes Ming Bloodsong. GW story line stuff like Scarab Plague or Five Gods Follower. Was using some polish translations combined with in game NPCs/Enemies at one point until some jerkoff screwed that up. EX: Shiros Suka.
